Kevin Pearce wins the Nokia Air & Style 2007
It was a night for the kids this year in Germany as 28,000 spectators packed the Olympic Stadium in Munich yesterday to witness the Nokia Air & Style 2007.

The name of the game was style and the young riders had plenty to offer. In the super final, the level of riding was perhaps the most progressive seen so far in the Air & Style, with massive 10's and 12's being thrown down every go. David Benedek must have felt like an old man lined up next to Burton ripper Mikkel Bang, Norwegian Tostein Horgmo, and American Kevin Pearce. While Tostien lead on points throughout most of the contest, it was Kevin who landed the trick of the night on his final jump, a huge cab 1260, stomped perfectly, to take the top prize money and the Air & Style ring.

17 year old Mikkel Bang, last years Rookie contest winner, showed what he was made of and finished in 2nd place. Style master Horgmo had to settle for 3rd place after slipping out on his landing on a switch 1080, but still won over the crowd with a sweet frontside 720 no grab and technical jibbing on the box. Local favourite David Bendek was going all out, attempting the most difficult trick, his trademark 1260 double corks, but failed to land clean, leaving him in 4th place.

As well as nearly 30,000 people in the stadium, over 50,000 viewers tuned in to freecaster.tv to watch the live stream of the Air & Style.

After the contest was over, Sean Paul got the crowd in the mood for partying, along with bands The Hives and 30 Seconds to Mars.
