Outside of the Asthetiker stuff do you take much interest in the contest side of snowboarding these days? You used to ride in the Air & Style…do you still go to that?
Of course I do but sometimes the timing is not so good and then I prefer to ride pow. But in general I like contest when they are good. Last year I only rode the Vail contest, Gapsession and our contest the Wängl Tängl. I want to do more next year...

Did you pay much attention to the Olympics? Do you see that as separate to what you do?
Of course I watched them and I think the level was amazing, like all the pipe contests this year. Shawn was killing it but Danny Kass was my style favourite this year! I don’t think it is separated or something, it's snowboarding!

Yeah Danny Kass is one of my favourite riders too. The whole Absinthe thing seems to be going pretty well. Do you get involved much in the direction or editing of the movies, or just your own part?
Yeah I think Absinthe films are doing really well. I love to ride and film with those guys. It is just like riding any other day and being out with your friends. Brusti, Justin, and Lesa work super hard all year and they are not stopping. Always thinking about something new and creative like this year all the cable cam angels from Justin. Everybody gets involved in the project during the year and can give as much direction as he likes. Of course Absinthe has its own style of film making which I really like. Also they do sick tv shows now “Flipside”!

Your video parts always seem to have some interesting riding in them. Like the loop-the-loop type thing and the dam riding…Do you try to come up with something each season to make your part a bit different?
It just happens you know. No real plan but I've got lots of things in mind for sure for next season. The most important is also to keep healthy and no off time like last year!

What was the funniest thing that happened to you last season?
I don’t know, too many funny things travelling with brusti!!

What are your plans for this coming winter and what are you most looking forward to?
The most I look forword too now is shredding with my crew here in December. It’s the best time when there is decent snow. Not too much filming and shooting going on and were all just out doing laps. After that of course filming, being ready, and hopefully an awesome deep winter. EEÖÖHH
