I was introduced to Magnus while in Mammoth
by the Swedish national coach Stefan.
Stefan mentioned that Magnus is one of Swedens
big hopes for the season and for the Olympics.
I could see why when I watched Mr Sterner in
the Mammoth pipe. This guy goes big and
is super smooth. Remember this guys name
readers.

EL How old are you?
MS I'm 25
EL How long have you been riding?
MS 11 years
EL Where did it all start?
MS I started riding in a place called
Dalicaria in Sweden, a friend of mine
had a board, just we went riding.
EL What plans have you for the season?
MS Try to ride as much as possible and
get back into pipe riding. Also
train for the world cup and the Olympics.
EL Who's you hero?
MS It's got to be my dad, and of course
Terje.
EL You must have seen Subject Haakosen
then?
MS O yeah that's a great movie....
EL What was the worst day in your snowboarding
career?
MS I damaged my kidneys pretty bad 2 years
ago at the European open, which was a
big blow.
EL Happiest times?
MS It must be qualifying for the finals
at the Olympics, I came 11th but I was
so happy it was so much fun. |
EL Where's home?
MS Leksand in mid Sweden.
EL Tell us your favourite resort...
MS Klappin in Sweden.
EL Is that you plugging Sweden again Magnus?
(laughs then, ‘MS well you can't beat
it riding around your local resort with friends.
EL What do you get up to during the summer
months?
MS I like to go fishing and I also enjoy wakesk8ing,
its great fun the board is slightly smaller
than a wakeboard and you don't have any bindings..
EL What's your favourite snowboarding video
you've been involved in?
MS I've only really been involved in one video
that was the pirate productions movie. Which
is out ready for this season... (review is
on step-on)
EL Come on Magnus what's your favourite crowd
pleaser? ...After the crazy Swede has stopped
laughing, ...it has to be a spaghetti air.
EL Ok then Magnus lets get it on you've 3
