Ok enough questions about snow! Outside of snowboarding, what inspires you and what do you like to do with your spare time?
Lately I´ve been really inspired by music. Started playing guitar in February and have been on that pretty much every day since.

Your section in Draw the Line (a couple of years back) had Placebo on it and I have to say I remember it being one of the most inspiring sections to watch before riding that season for me. I take it you are into your rock/indy music?
Yeah that song was all time. When it comes to music I love to listen to a lot of stuff. Kind of depends on the mood and the people I´m with. At the moment I listen a lot to Green day, Whitestripes etc. Music that I try to learn myself.

... Do you listen to music when you ride?
Sometimes.. when I just cruise around.

Have you fallen into the whole myspace obsession?
Not really…eehh. I got to be honest and say I got one. I try and keep it to the minimum. That shit is pretty good for keeping in contact with friends around the world. If you go on it you´ll see links to all my boys in Bali for example.

You’ve spent a fair bit of time in America too. Could you see yourself living there permanently?
Maybe for a couple of years. I´ll end up in Norway though. That is 100% sure.

What’s the worst/craziest situation you’ve found yourself in whilst travelling?
Those are many and hard to pick. I stayed in a pretty getto hotel in Singapore on the way to Bali one time. That was pretty hairy.

Your brother says your fishing skills are all down to luck. People can spend all day at the waters edge then you rock up and reel in a whopper. Do you have anything to say in your defence?
How do you know my brother…?? Fishing ain't about luck. You got to think like a fish. Everybody that can relate will know what I´m sayin'. People that can't see that are just jealous.

Rumour has it this 'luck' carries over into your gambling life. Ask any rider, “who is to be avoided on the poker table” and your name comes up first. Quite a reputation you have for yourself. Are you claiming it’s all skill or have you mastered card counting? I´m for sure not good atg counting cards..
Hard to give away my secret. Would never win again. I am pretty lucky when it comes to gambling though. Always been that way.

Okay let's get serious for a second. Of course global warming is threatening to cast a big shadow over snowboarding. Do you worry about climate change, and do you think with the power of snowboarding in terms of the media attention it attracts, we should be doing more as a community to motivate the rest of the world?
Global warming is for sure something that´s on my mind a lot. It´s really a tough question with a lot of good answers. I think the only thing we can do is to take care of our self and think sustainable. Make this a part of us and our conversation. For sure some people (like snowboarders) have the possibility to spread the word to more people, and that is great. I hope to see more riders speak out like Nico Muller for sure.
